Drug den dismantled in Sta. Maria, Bulacan, 5 suspects arrested




STA. MARIA, Bulacan -- Authorities dismantled on Thursday a drug den in Barangay San Vicente and arrested five individuals in a buy-bust operation here on Saturday early morning.

Conducted at around 3:20 a.m. at Blk 10 lot 3 Borland Homes Brgy.  San Vicente,  Sta.  Maria,  Bulacan, the joint operation principally involved the PNP DEG SOU3 led by P/Lt. Col. Heryl Bruno (lead unit), with PDEA RO 3 RDEU 3, PRO3, PIU Bulacan PPO,  Sta.  Maria MPS, Bulacan PPO, and PMFC Bulacan 2nd company.  

Bruno identified the arrested suspects as Jumar Nicariel Uligan y Orap,  30 years old, single and a resident of Blk 10 L3 Margareth Homes Borland (Bago) Brgy. San Vicente, Sta Maria; Grace Sta. Cruz y Centeno, 29, a resident of Blk 10 L3 Margareth Homes Borland (Bago) Brgy. San Vicente; Nicole Figueroa y Andrada, 28, single and a resident of Esguera St. Tondo, Manila; Arnold Viola y Arimado, 48, single a resident of Purok 2, Brgy.  Cut-cut, Guiguinto; and Patrick Sta. Cruz y Centeno, 30,  single,  B10 L3 Margareth Homes Borland (Bago) Brgy. San Vicente, Sta. Maria,  Bulacan.

Authorities confiscated one piece of knot tie transparent plastic bag with more or less 80 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P544,000; five pieces small size heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected methamphetamine also known as shabu weighing more or less 20 grams worth P136,000 (possession); marked money and other drug paraphernalia.

Bruno said the suspects are under their custody while cases are being readied for filing against them.

The arrested suspects were apprised of their constitutional rights in a dialect that they fully understood and are temporarily under the custody of this Unit for proper disposition and filing of charges against them.

This is a manifestation of the dedication of SOU3 PNPDEG under the leadership of P/Lt. Col. Bruno in its quest to eradicate illegal drugs and the drug personalities behind its proliferation in accordance with the marching orders of P/Brig. Gen. Narciso D.
